Biographical Sketch 2009
James Turpin is a well-rounded, experienced businessman and numismatic expert. He has been involved in building and expanding many businesses. His accomplishments include serving on the senior management team as Sr. Vice President and corporate officer for three different companies that consolidated their respective fields and became publicly traded companies. In his career James has been the featured speaker on various management and business development topics for various professional and numismatic organizations. As for his own education, James earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University and an executive MBA from Rice University. Alice has an Associates of Arts Degree from San Jacinto College. Alice has owned and operated Creative Academy in the past. James and his wife Alice started their company Jetproofs Rare Coins & Currency in 1995 as a hobby and it became a successful stand-alone company in 1998 with Alice Turpin at the helm. In 2004 James retired from the corporate world to peruse his love for numismatics on a full time basis. James and Alice are active members of many numismatic organizations including the American Numismatic Association and Texas Numismatic Association. They are featured and authorized dealers for the two top coin certification companies, PCGS the “Professional Coin Graders Association” and NGC “Numismatic Guaranty Corporation”. They have a large presence on the Internet with their web site www.jetproofs and their Jetproofs eBay store that normally inventories three hundred different items. Jetproofs has been a Platinum level eBay power seller for 10 years and Jetproofs displays at many regional as well as national coin shows. Jetproofs has thousands of satisfied customers all over the world. James & Alice have raised three beautiful daughters and enjoy spoiling their three beautiful grandchildren.
